Dirk-Jan Baas, Founder of Smart4Aviation, visionary, aviation veteran, spent all his life in aviation. Worked in the Royal Netherlands Air Force – Air Traffic Control Department for 6 years as an ATM specialist. Joined Martinair in 1986 and spent almost 25 years in airline operations working at the OCC crew- and dispatch departments. Founded the Smart4Aviation company in 2010 with the aim to deliver cost-effective, sustainable, and aviation industry-leading operational efficiency solutions.

Angela Kozłowska
As a UX Researcher at Digital Delivery Lab, Angela is focused on bringing the objective voice of the user to the product strategy and development efforts. She’s a Business Analyst by university degree and UX and Design Thinking Practitioner by passion. She takes care of the entire design process: from the very first ideas and mockups, through technical development stage, all the way to delivering documentation and marketing of the final product. She’s focused on creating user-friendly apps that people really want to use. Her ongoing passion is solving problems with design. She’s also a big fan of self-growth and people development.

Maciej Szulc
Maciej has always been a fan of crossing borders – both in sport and travelling. It appeared to him that planes were one of the best ways of doing this. He joined Boeing in 2016 as a Navigation Data Analyst. That was the beginning of his adventure with the aviation industry. In 2018, Maciej started to work as a front-line manager. That widened his area of influence and allowed to create a self-propelling internal educational initiative: Aviation Professional. At the Aviation Hub, he is looking for a deeper understanding of the aviation business and possibilities to develop new solutions for the industry. Personally, he is a fan of travelling, martial arts and books of two contrary genres: fantasy and the literature of fact – reportages.

Michał Geratowski
The commercial aviation sector always had his interest. From photography, online virtual flying and virtual air traffic control, to gliders, PPL(A) license and graduating in Air Navigation from Silesian University of Technology, followed by internships in TNT Express Worldwide (Poland) and Flughafen Erfurt GmbH. All these experiences allowed him to better understand the processes in this unique sector that now he is incorporating in IT Project implementations and support. He likes gadgets, learning about things and the Finnish sauna.

Magdalena Laine-Zamojska
Currently, as Lead Researcher, Magdalena has been working on the Lido solutions at Lufthansa Systems since 2018. Prior to joining Lufthansa Systems, she worked in Kainos as a researcher on a healthcare solution in UK. She conducted research in several countries for different organizations, e.g. Interactive Institute Swedish ICT, NODEM Network of Design and Digital Heritage, National Institute for Museums and Public Collections, National Digital Archives. Magdalena obtained her doctorate degree from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), and her master’s degree from the University of Adam Mickiewicz (Poland).

Glider Acrobat
Patrycja Pacak
Her everyday life is aviation acrobatics. In 2019, she won the World Championships in Glider Aerobatics, taking part in the S-1 Swift glider in the Advanced class. After the second competition, the inhabitant of Częstochowa became the leader of the general classification and kept the lead until the end of the competition. After two weeks of hard struggles in the air, she became the first woman with the title of the World Champion in Glider Acrobatics. She likes to take control and talks a lot, especially about her first trip to Romania, and more specifically about how to “win the flight”.

Since 2015 as a General Aviation Sales Manager at LOTOS Air BP, Izabela has been responsible for managing and carrying out commercial activity in the scope of General Aviation, including aviation fuel sales development (into plane and wholesale), research and analysis of GA market, establishing relationships with business partners and carrying out marketing activities. As a chemist by education and having an experience in certified sustainable biodiesel sales Izabela is keenly interested in the development of technology and legislation in the field of sustainable aviation fuels.

Jarosław Niewiński
Jarosław has 20 years of experience in the Air Traffic Management domain, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Proven experience in the airport domain (airport, ground handling, air traffic control), but not only. Passionate about digital tools and predictive use of data for driving airports digitalisation and sustainability. Recently joined EUROCONTROL as the airport expert, seconded from PANSA (pl: PAZP).

Sebastian Zimnol was a professional hockey player for the Cologne Sharks (KEC) team. He is, therefore, no stranger to team spirit, ambition, cooperation, and the desire to win. As a shareholder and managing director of Hackenberg & Keussen GmbH & Co. KG until December 31, 2013, Sebastian Zimnol gained extensive experience in building companies at home and abroad. As managing director of A-Y-N Software Solutions, he has gained more expertise in advertising, marketing, communications, software development, graphic design, as well as web and mobile applications design. As an expert in customized solutions, he is familiar with related markets of digital, artificial intelligence, communications, data exchange, and cyber security. Currently Sebastian Zimnol is the CEO and one of the co-founders and originators of WETOG GmbH / WETOG PL Sp. z o.o., companies that use innovative solutions to guarantee the security of cyberspace.

Consultant, developer and leader with broad horizons. He comes from the Java backends environment, but in his life he also did various front-ends, was a Scrum Master and acted as a Project Manager.
